This month’s design “SPARKLE like you mean it” is designed to use the fairy lights through the embroidered eyelets. Super cute!
These specially designed Kimberbell tote bags come completely flat or open for easy embellishment. After completing the design, sew the sides of the tote bags to finish.
On a side note, we love lining the Kimberbell tote bags. They have printed lining directions in their recent book “Vintage Boardwalk”.
Choosing the Right Stabilizer
The Stabilizer recommended for the tote bags is the Sticky Tear Away stabilizer. This specialty stabilizer allows the user not to have to hope the bag straight but can lay the bag on top of the stabilizer. To make sure nothing moves, choose to stitch the Basting-in-the-Hoop function on your embroidery machine prior to starting the embroidery.
If you have never worked with glitter sheets, this is the perfect project to learn how easy glitter sheets can be embroidered on.
And the background for the SPARKLE banner uses the brand new Kimberbell felt packs. Their felt is so soft…nothing compared to what craft felt feels like.
If you own embroidery software and want to add your own SPARKLE quote, have a little fun, and change the words within the design. We turned the original quote into “You were born to SPARKLE” on this piped pillow.
If you don’t want to add the fairy lights, just skip the last color of the embroidery design and do not stitch out the eyelets.
