Currently, the Husqvarna Viking designer EPIC 2 is Husqvarna Viking’s top-of-the-line sewing and embroidery machine. The Husqvarna Viking designer EPIC 1 has been sold out and replaced with the Husqvarna Viking designer EPIC 2.

IDF Intergraded Dual Feed
9mm Wide Decorative Stitches
The Husqvarna Viking EPIC 2 now boasts of 9mm wide decorative stitches. Until the introduction of this model most Husqvarna Viking sewing machines had a maximum stitch width of 7mm. Though 2mm does not seam like a lot, when compared side by side the larger stitches win out every single time.
Adjustable Laser-Guided Sewing System
The adjustable laser-guided sewing system offers a laser guide that can be adjusted to either the right or left of the center needle position to help align rows of decorative stitches, space quilting lines evenly and to incorporate with exclusive built-in Pictogram stitches.
Laser Pictogram Stitches
Laser pictogram stitches are possible with the use of the built-in adjustable laser guided sewing system. Create new combinations of decorative stitches not available on any other sewing machine.
Larger Touch Screen
The Husqvarna Viking designer EPIC 2 has a slightly larger, and clear, touch screen than the Husqvarna Viking designer EPIC 1.
Ribbon Embroidery Attachment
The ribbon embroidery attachment is now available for both the Husqvarna Viking designer EPIC 2 and Viking designer EPIC 1. This amazing attachment can embroider with ribbon.
NEW Function Button Layout
I am a fan of the new layout of the Husqvarna Viking designer EPIC 2 function buttons on the head of the sewing machine. Once I got used to the new order of the buttons, I find that the new layout is truly more intuitive.
Multi-Function Foot Control
The multi-function foot control is now available for both the Husqvarna Viking designer EPIC 2 and EPIC 1 sewing machines. Program the toe, the head, and the right and left paddles for a variety of functions such as presser foot lift, thread cut, reverse, tie off, and pattern begin/restart.
