Having trouble with your sewing machine?

Ask yourself, WWSD? (What Would Sara Do?)

Sara has been helping people through simple and tough sewing machine issues for over 30 years! It has become her passion. It is what her entire YouTube channel is dedicated to with over 3,000 sewing machine videos.

Whether it is a fancy new sewing machine with all the bells and whistles, a older turn-the-dial sewing machine, a serger with an attitude or an embroidery machine begging to let run loose, Sara probably has an answer to your current problem.

Stop & Ask Yourself – WWSD?

The next time you and your sewing machine are not sewing eye-to-eye, stop and ask yourself, “What Would Sara Do?”

There are about 10 super common sewing problems people run into 90% of the time. That extra 10% we save for a professional sewing technician.

What is the number one sewing problem?

Top tension issues are one of the most common questions we answer on a daily basis. When threading a sewing machine, serger or an embroidery machine, it is key to make sure the top thread is securely in the top tension. This means threading the machine with the presser foot UP and threading the machine with PURPOSE. We often recommend “flossing” the thread back and forth a few times with both hands to guarantee the thread is completely placed deep into the top tension disks.

This video describes the tension problem and how to quickly fix it.

Master this and it will solve most all sewing headaches.
